What happens when buying a kitten

Man må selvfølgelig gerne have ønsker til farve og mønstre, men vi prøver at matche killing og køber ud fra sind og hvordan vi tænker killingen vil passe bedst muligt ind i den nye familie. Hvis i har tanker omkring at gå på udstilling må i meget gerne nævne dette også, da det også har betydelse for hvilke killinger der egner sig til dette.
Vores killinger sælges neutraliseret som kælekatte.

OBS: Vi sælger ikke katte til fritløb
Ragdoll er en race der er avlet til at være indekat - den må selvfølgelig gerne komme ud, men så er det i en indhegnet have eller i snor. Dette gør vi for at passe på kattene, da deres natur er meget godmodig og derfor nemmere vil kunne blive kørt ned, samlet op af fremmede eller bliver kanøflet af de andre katte i kvarteret.

Vi tør derfor ikke sige go for, at lade kattene løbe frit, da det vil være rigtig synd hvis i skulle miste jeres dyrebare kat på dette
Visit the cattery
To be considered for a kitten, we expect you to have visited our cattery. Here you can see how we keep our cats, talk about the ragdoll breed, talk about what you are looking for and ask about anything else you need to know. It is important to us that both parties trust each other before we proceed to the next step.
When both parties agree on buying a kitten, you will be put on a waiting list and will be contacted when we know more.

Reservation of kitten
We continuously evaluate the kittens as they grow up. We do this to assess whether we should keep a kitten ourselves to continue breeding. Once we have evaluated the kittens, their status will be changed to "available" here on the website.
When we have found the right kitten for you, you pay a reservation fee of 1500,- DKK which is non-refundable in case you change your mind. The reservation fee helps to secure you, your kitten as well as to pay for costs we may incur in the event of a delayed sale of the kitten. When you have paid the reservation fee, the kittens status will be changed to "reserved".

Follow your ragdoll kitten
The kittens must be between 12-14 weeks old before they leave the cattery. The kittens are vaccinated twice while they are with us. The first time when they are 8 weeks and the second time when they are 12 weeks. This is also where they are neutered and we therefore keep the kittens until they are healthy enough to move from here.
The waiting time can be long and we therefore take great care to update with pictures and video of the kittens on an ongoing basis. Here you can follow along on the website and get to know your kitten better before you get it home. You are also welcome to visit us by appointment.
Collection of your ragdoll kitten
When the kitten is 12-14 weeks old and ready to leave home after its last veterinary check-up, we arrange collection from us or in house with an show. When you collect the kitten, you pay the remaining amount at the same time, either via MobilePay, transfer or cash.
Your kitten will be washed, claws clipped, neutered and wormed before you bring it home. All you have to do is get to know your new ragdoll kitten and give it love.
We expect your kitten to be vaccinated for the 3rd time when it is 16 weeks old, this is at your own expense at your own vet.
For each kitten, you will receive a folder with a pedigree, a health book, a start guide with information on food, cat litter etc. and pictures from its upbringing in the cattery. In addition, a kitten package with some food as well as toys and a blanket with the smell from the cattery is included.
When your ragdoll kitten moves in
If you have other animals, you can expect it to take up to 1-2 weeks before all the animals have got used to each other. If you have any questions, you are always welcome to contact us, and we will help you as best we can. A ragdoll kitten should quickly adjust to its new surroundings, especially if there are no other animals in the home.

After handing over the kitten
We are very happy to be able to follow your kittens growth. If you use Instagram, we would like you to use the hashtag #dkshiruku when you post pictures of your cats, both we and other kitten buyers can follow along. We will also be very happy to get updates on how your cats are doing.
